Rin the Nightshade Chibi is copyrighted to me as I am her creator. She is in NO RELATION to Rin of the Anime and Manga Inuyasha A Feutal Fairytale. The Rin of Inuyasha belongs to Rumiko Takahashi.

While Hitomi is firey in both passion for dancing and singing as well as her temper at times...her rivial Rin is a cold and sly diva of the stage. She dances and sings for the fame, unlike Hitomi who dances and sings for the love and joy of the art. She sees Hitomi as dizy and immature, always looking to put her down. But is always put in her place when Hitomi's warm and joyful dancing wins agasint her icy and often harsh form of dancing and her cold voice. With every failed proformance she gains more and more fustration, not understanding how Hitomi beats her every turn.

The idea for Rin came right after Hitomi was finished. I thought Hitomi needed a rivial and the image of a nightshade flower came to mind for her theme since Nightshade stand for cold and untrusting amoung other negative things. When drawing and coloring her I the image of a dance girl surronded by neon lights and colors in mind.

So unlike Hitomi's flashy and bright pop star or diva look, Rin is a neon bathed girl of the nightclub life who always finds herself on stage with the much diffrent girl.

Rin is also a Japanese girls name meaning cold and sever, matching her flowers meaning.
